These are tiles made up of a mixture of marble grains or pebbles, mineral powders, cement, water and natural colorants. All tiles are ground in the factory and can be polished on site.

The tiles are not pre-treated and require a protective treatment after laying.

The production of grains is still entirely done by hand. The marmetta was born at the end of the 18th century, parallel to the invention and use of cement, as a binder for the chips obtained from the crushing of the various types of marble to make the mixture that was later pressed into moulds.
